We picked up our first foster placement. A twelve year old boy. Keep us in your prayers as he talks incessantly. I have been asked the same questions more times then I can remember today. He says he likes us but thinks we need a TV.
Welcome to the world of "pickle" questions. LOL. Everytime the kids ask me a question that is obvious that they know the answer to, or is off the wall, I just say, "Pickle!"
Asking questions is part of their insecurity... it's a poor way to have some control. I'm not sure how that works, but we experience it all the time.
He is a bit older then we were planning on going. But both my husband and I felt good about the placement. So far he seems to be a good kid and besides his constant questions and having to learning to do things besides watch TV he seems to really like it here. He seemed to really soak up church today, which was a really nice thing to see.
